Also, Ken Burns' documentary "The American Revolution"  which started airing on November 16, 2025 has a lot about our area in Episode 3 about The Battle of Long Island (also known as the Battle of Brooklyn) which was fought in the vicinity of current Prospect Park, the Old Stone House in Gowanus (which existed during the Revolutionary War and was the sitee of the bloody stand by the Maryland 400),  with shelling at British ships from Fort Defiance in Red Hook, and Washington and his badly battered troops escaping by water at Fulton Landing near Brooklyn Heights.

This 6-part documentary is streaming free until around December 14, 2025 on PBS. After that it will be available for a modest fee via the PBS Passport program.
