The menus of Red Hook Tavern, they say "pay tribute to the classic old school taverns and legendary food establishments experienced in New York City".  They describe themselves as bringing "classic American tavern fare to the waterfront village in Brooklyn, where friends can share a bottle of wine, a few laughs, and a great meal."

Opened in 2019 by Hometown Bar-B-Que owner and pitmaster Billy Durney, the Red Hook Tavern has been billed as a chicken and burger joint with wines and elevated "tavern fare" (according to the NYC BBQ blog).  They were temporarily closed due to fire in March 2022.
