Fairway Resiliency

The Fairway food market, located in the New York Stores aka Red Hook Stores building built as a warehouse for Erie Basin developer William Beard in 1869, flooded during super-storm Sandy. Afterwards, to make the place more resilient for the next storm, gates and other structural elements were added.
