Raaka Chocolate offers a very Red Hook combo on site of manufacturing, tours of the factory, classes and retail. They make artisanal chocolate bars which you can buy along with chocolate nibs and swag.

In the 1910's their building was part of the Republic Can and Metal Co. which was formed as the can department for a large coffee house. Red Hook was once the coffee capital of the East Coast. Bulk coffee beans were shipped in and stored in its waterfront warehouses in vast numbers. But it was not just coffee that was shipped through Red Hook, cacao beans were too until around 2006.

There is a large crankshaft standing in front of their place.
